We booked the whole menu over two months so you don't have to guess — here's what earns the price tag and what you can safely skip.

Crown Spa Perth treatment room and vitality pool

Crown Spa Perth gets talked about in hushed tones — vitality pools, salt rooms, fourteen treatment sanctuaries. It's also priced like a special occasion. So: which parts of the menu actually earn it?

The facilities (the real star)

Honestly, the wet area is the product. The vitality pool alone — a big heated hydrotherapy pool with jets positioned at every ache — is worth the visit. Add the steam room, the salt inhalation room and the experience showers and you've got a 90-minute circuit that resets you before a single treatment starts.

Our rule: circuit first, treatment second. Doing it backwards wastes both.

Treatment verdicts

  • Signature massage (90 min) — the benchmark. Worth every cent; the therapists here are genuinely elite. Ask for firmness honestly — they adjust.
  • Hot stone — lovely, but a standard massage does 80% of it for less.
  • Facials (Subtle Energies) — better than expected; the products are the real deal. Worth it if skin's the goal.
  • Body wraps/scrubs — pleasant but skippable unless you're already a wrap person.
  • Couples suite experiences — the premium is the room, and it's a great room. Best shared-occasion spend on the menu.
The vitality pool at 9am, alone, steam rising off it — that's the photo they should sell the place with.

The smart way to book

Go midweek morning. Same facilities, half the crowd, therapists fresher. Weekend afternoons are the busiest slots and the least zen. Checkout-day spa is the pro move — check out at 11, spa until your airport run. Our spa retreat planning times all of this around your stay.

Is it worth it?

The facilities: yes, unconditionally — best hotel wet area in WA. The treatments: the signature massage and couples experiences, yes; the rest depends on how much of a spa person you are. City day spas do competent massages for less — you're paying for the setting, and the setting delivers.

Book through us and we'll sequence the day properly — circuit, treatment, cabana — so it flows instead of feeling like appointments. Couples escapes get the shared suite booked ahead, which is the part that actually sells out.

Spa questions

Yes — the thermal circuit (vitality pool, steam, salt room) can be booked as standalone access. It's the best-value way to experience the place.

Swimmers — everything else is provided: robes, towels, slippers, lockers, even decent hairdryers. Phone stays in the locker; that's the point.

For the facilities, clearly yes — nothing in the city matches the wet area. For a basic massage only, city spas are cheaper. We tell you honestly which fits your goal.
